If D.L. Hugley was “legendary” Howzit’ I never heard of him.
Richard Pryor is Legendary. Mr. Hughley is just another SJW with an axe to grind

I didn’t know what it meant. Had to look it up:
SJW: Short for “social justice warrior,” this insult is mostly reserved for young women who try to argue on behalf of liberal or feminist ideas.
Cool.
I like DL Hughley and especially loved his take down of his fellow African Americans when Obama won. One of his greatest bits was when he walked Harlem the night Obama won. How African Americans in Harlem thought this was a game changer was one of the funniest things I had seen and it really was great to see him correct people (he was insulted and harassed because people thought he was anti-Obama).
So, he takes shots at both sides. Like any good comedian, you take shots at those in power.

I live in a place where white racism is more socially acceptable. And the white racists who hated Obama are no more racist than the Black racists who voted for him because he’s Black (kinda Black, anyway) I differentiated White racist as opposed to Black racism because there is just as much of the former as the latter. And the idea that since Black people are 13% of the US population means that they should represent that percentage of police shootings is preposterous since that particular 13% of the US Population commit 50% of the Homicides. (FBI Stats)
But we as a nation are very far from having an honest discussion about that.

What the hell is Hughely talking about? Does “comply with police” only apply to black people? Like hell it does … I’m white as mayonnaise and whenever I’m stopped by police, it’s “yes, sir” and “no, sir” and speaking straight rather than being confrontational. I guess if I had advice to Mr. Hughley, it would be, Don’t act like an a-hole and you won’t get shot by the police.

Not all that thrilled with this book. I can appreciate the comedic value of the hour or so I listened to it, but at best the author is being disingenuous and at worst, just cite signaling and lying. Any simple search of YouTube will show that non-blacks get the same treatment. It also shows that most people in these videos are just ignorant about how to get out of the interaction alive and unjailed.
