There just might be many successful insults in this book. A woman who uses such lines, however, has already compromised herself in many ways. She has shown herself in all her weakness. Why? Presumably she would rather use force, but she cannot. She must insult. She admits she begins from a position of weakness. A man insulted would physically confront his insulter or refrain because he is a coward. In any case, the many men who would be wounded to the quick by these insults would deserve them - by this fact alone: they have been wounded.

Wow, a lot of special guys in here with big feelings! I’m glad you all have this board as a place to vent your frustrations in a physically safe way, rather than, you know, going out and literally killing the rest of us when you get steamed.
Next time, may I suggest a diary instead of the internet? That way you can keep your private thoughts to yourself and you don’t have to tell them to strangers who don’t give a shit.

Wow, This is a late post but I can’t resist. I read many of the above comments with dismay. Men have more wealth and power than women, generally speaking, in our society. And many men do feel entitled to be dickheads, especially toward women (and sometimes cruel to other men, judging them on an imaginary spectrum capability to pick up women and get laid). Speaking of picking up women, have any of the critics of this book read or heard any articles or books or blog posts from so-called pickup artists providing alleged advice for picking up women? Believe it or not, the advice is to be cruel to women and put them down, ie, “put them in their place”. I’ve not read enough to know what premises or assumptions lay behind this strategy. I think one assumption is that women are women supposedly tired of feminism and feel relief when they are degraded and put in their place and then don’t have to try to live up to feminist ideals. (The feminism assumed here is that of Hillary Clinton, and it is assumed to be one of pressure to be upwardly mobile. And that’s not entirely wrong in regard to that type of middle class / upper class white feminism. But that’s not the entirety of feminism of course!!!)
