Also … the entire tone of this assumes that there is a race war going on between white people and black people. I wouldn’t have introduced such a notion but this book does. If this book’s premise that such a war is going on is correct, then can someone please explain why exactly the whites can’t simply win? Kill everybody if necessary. I mean, why not: it’s a war, isn’t it?

Re: murder. PTSD isn’t what has happened to you in war - it’s what you’ve done and you can’t live with. Most modern folks’ kids don’t have the stones to pull triggers in a race war and if /when they do, when they come home they’re going to be messy in the head. Eating their guns, beating their wives, shooting up schools - stuff like that. Otoh, we’ve had boots on the necks of a lot of people for a few centuries, and that never lasts. It’ll be a sad time to pay the reckoning, if inevitable.

Hitler got his angry start when his application was rejected by the Viennese Academy of Fine Arts (I think that was in Vienna - but I’ll google it). It’s slightly analogous to Charles Manson’s failure to wow the Monkee’s handlers. He then wanted to spark a “race war” - which was mentioned in the above. You Americans and your “race wars” - you’re absolutely incorrigible. What bloody next?

Weimar Germany just went too far with degeneracy and communist leanings. Guess who was at the forefront. One could make the case we’re in weimar America. Some people welcome it, some people are aghast. We’ll see how it plays out this time.

I think the problem was principally the economic travails (the US & Germany were hardest hit) - economic disasters are gold dust for the extremes of right & left, as we’ll be all too aware of very soon. Even without the Crash, the reparations were ridiculously onerous.
The US won’t suffer the fate of Weimar, because of its Constitution. The Weimar Constitution, while being extremely sophisticated & advanced, had a fatal flaw. Its emergency powers, established by Article 48. This enabled rule by decree rather than consulting the Reichstag. Civil rights were rescinded, and political parties suppressed. It was a whole nuther deal.

@caesar963, so did Cuba become a communist country because Castro couldn’t make it as a baseball player. Gee, what a pitiful world we live in, where poor losers and no talents come to power, and they decree how our societies live.
It should be interesting in 20-30 years to see what the US is like. My guess: higher rates of crime (at all levels), rampant drug abuse, excessive taxes to fund failing welfare programs that are a generational money pit.
I wonder who the SJW’s are going to blame then? They’re bringing it on themselves.
